In Utrecht, the Austrian Andritz Group will present three new developments: the Micro Feed System, the 3-roll upgrade for the Paladin 2000, and the Metris Vibe.

The Micro Feed System is a special extruder upgrade system designed for aqua feeds smaller than 2 mm. The system can increase capacity by up to 40% when micro feed is run at reduced speeds on standard extrusion lines, and represents a major breakthrough in the industry, according to Andritz.

For animal feed producers, the company is introducing the 3-Rolls Assembly Upgrade for the Paladin 2000. The automatic roll adjustment system allows adjustable spacing between the die and rolls to set the perfect distance for different recipes in a pellet mill. Average spacing measurements for multiple recipes become a thing of the past, while improving pellet quality, capacity and energy utilization.

Metris Vibe is an integrated condition monitoring solution for the feed industry. Metris Vibe is a wireless vibration and temperature sensor that can monitor the health of mechanical equipment regardless of manufacturer. The rugged and wireless sensors operate in all harsh environments and enable lower operating costs through reduced maintenance due to their predictive capabilities, increased uptime, higher production reliability and improved safety.
