Rainer Dullweber leaves Bröing after more than 20 years.

A manager is leaving the Bröring Group. Rainer Dullweber is moving to a leading meat processor. Rainer Dullweber, currently managing director at Bröring Unternehmensgruppe, is moving to Plukon Germany.

This was announced by the Bröring Unternehmensgruppe in Dinklage and Plukon Germany in agreement. Dullweber is leaving the company at his own request to take on new challenges. However, the exact entry date has not yet been agreed and will be "determined by mutual consent," according to a press release from Bröring. Until then, Dullweber will "fully perform" his management duties at the family-owned agricultural trade and compound feed company.

In its press release, poultry meat supplier Plukon holds out the prospect of his joining in 2022. Until Dullweber takes up his post, Niels Van Gestel will remain managing director of Plukon Germany, who has led the company since January 2021, it said.

With the company for 22 years

Dullweber has already been with Bröring for 22 years. There, he played a key role in building up the poultry feed business of Best 3 Geflügelernährung GmbH and developing it into a "leading supplier of feed for fattening poultry," Bröring adds. In addition, Dullweber, as managing director of marketing and sales, has aligned the family business for the future in a divisional structure specialized by animal species.

Both companies reaffirm their cooperation through Dullweber's move to Plukon Germany: "Together with EZG deutsches Qualitätsgeflügel w.V., we want to further expand the chicken value chain in order to grow profitably together with all chicken fatteners and, in particular, to meet the market's increasing animal welfare requirements," Bröring says; Plukon makes a similar statement.

Cooperation to be expanded

The Bröring group of companies produces compound feed at nine locations and operates 13 land trading bases in its sales region. The company takes in about 200,000 tons of grain annually and produces about 1.9 million tons of compound feed.

Plukon Food Group operates poultry slaughterhouses and processing and packing plants in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Belgium, France and Spain. The company's sales totaled €1.8 billion in 2019. In Germany, Plukon has three slaughterhouses and two processing plants in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg, Saxony, Lower Saxony and Hesse. The German administrative headquarters are located in Visbek, Lower Saxony.
