The livestock population in Denmark has decreased by 14 percent.
Pig farmers in Denmark have continued to massively reduce their livestock numbers this spring. According to the umbrella organization for the agri-food industry (L&F), high production costs and poor profitability of pig farming in large parts of 2021 and 2022 are the main reasons for the decline.
