Dr. Eckel has established a new management team as part of its innovation strategy and restructuring process. “Innovation requires pioneers: people with knowledge, good ideas, the boldness to break new ground and also great sensitivity to people and the environment,” says Dr Antje Eckel, who has appointed eight managers from various departments as team managers.

Michelle Fernandez spent several years in purchasing in the food industry, perfecting the application of her language skills. She subsequently worked in procurement at a media company and decided to switch to the agricultural industry in 2015. In Purchasing at Dr. Eckel, she can make excellent use of both her negotiating skills and her keen sense of the developments in the commodity markets. After becoming a mother in 2016, she became Purchasing Team Manager at the beginning of 2018. The professional negotiator has an aptitude for communication: in addition to German and English, the qualified philologist and Japanologist speaks French and Tagalog.
