The medium-sized family business based in Niederzissen (Eifel) was founded by Dr. Antje Eckel. Now the entrepreneur has been appointed to the SME Advisory Council at the Federal Ministry of Economics. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is supported in its work by various advisory councils of experts. One of them is the Advisory Council for questions of commercial SMEs and the liberal professions (SME Advisory Council). It is made up of experts from the field who contribute their expertise and expertise in SME issues. For the current legislative period, German Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier recently appointed 27 entrepreneurs and experts as members of the SME Advisory Council. Antje Eckel has accepted the appointment to this honorary office with great joy and verve. The 55-year-old entrepreneur sees her role in this body, first and foremost, as bringing in the perspective of the medium-sized company in the rural area and supporting the Minister of Economic Affairs in promoting and strengthening the German Mittelstand. "Innovation is the key," says Antje Eckel. "As a German medium-sized company, we can thus remain internationally competitive. What we need above all is the employees and the framework conditions in order to develop innovative solutions." The Managing Director also wants to get involved in the reduction of bureaucracy in Berlin. Here, Minister Altmaier has already addressed specific questions to the Advisory Board. Antje Eckel likes to make room for her important work on the advisory board in her well-filled appointment book. "I consider the appointment to the Economic Advisory Board an award and look forward to working together in the years to come."
