The App offer of the LKV Bavaria is richer by one application. Since August 16, the app LKV-FuLab is available for download for farmers, LOP, feeding and ring consultants. The mobile application is optimally adapted to the new mailing bags and complements the range around feed analysis.
The core element of LKV-FuLab is the registration of the feed samples. The intuitive menu queries all relevant information and informs about the prices of the individual test packages. The sample number can easily be scanned in via the barcode on the mailing bag. The app sends the number to the LKV feed laboratory in Grub, where it is stored directly in the system. Once the sample is received in the laboratory, the assignment automatically takes place. From incidents to receipt of results, the farmer is kept up to date via push messages.
LKV-FuLab can also record samples offline. The message then queues and is sent as soon as the phone or tablet is back online. The menu item "Queue" informs about the message status. Results can be called up via the menu item "Sample results". In order to make the app clearer, the developers have dispensed with comparisons of the test results. These can be accessed as usual via WebFuLab.
In addition, new feed sample bags and mailing bags can be ordered via LKV-FuLab. For LKV members, bags and their shipping are free. Forage is one of the largest costs in livestock and crucial for the health and well-being of the animals. Only if the ingredients of the feed are known, rations can be optimally designed, that is needs-based and cost-efficient.
The feed analyzes are carried out in the LKV laboratory in Grub under the supervision of the Department of Animal Feed Analysis and Quality of Animal Products of the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture (LfL).
