Prof. Alfons Balmann, Managing Director of the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO), expects a significant decline in Ukrainian cereal and oilseed production. Both the current and the coming sowing season would be massively limited by the consequences of the war.
