Animal husbandry, and with it animal nutrition, are in a state of upheaval. The social and also the demands on the industry in puntco environmental and climate protection are increasing. Animal welfare is to be improved and emissions reduced. Science already has answers to some questions, but there is still work to be done in other fields.
In the first editor's discussion of FeedMagazine/Kraftfutter, Peter Radewahn, Managing Director of the German Animal Nutrition Association (DVT) and editor of FeedMagazine/Kraftfutter, and Dr. Detlef Kampf, Head of Animal Nutrition at the German Agricultural Society (DLG), discuss the future challenges and tasks of animal nutrition. In the past, the focus was on optimal animal nutrition, but today it is not only about environmental and climate protection, but also about strengthening the resilience of animals. The requirements are becoming more diverse.
